After opting to waive backup goaltender Jhonas Enroth yesterday,  the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL affiiliate the Toronto Marlies have signed Karri Ramo to an amateur tryout contract moments ago.

Ramo had been practicing with the Maple Leafs for a few weeks now, and it's believed that he will practice and play a few games with the Marlies before making the jump as Frederik Andersen's backup goaltender.

If that situation holds true, things might get a little complicated as Antoine Bibeau had been called up a few days ago. He has yet to start in a regular season game at the National Hockey League level.

Ramo, on the other hand, has already played in over 150 games and has posted a .906 career save percentage and a 2.85 goals-against average. He spent the last three years playing with the Calgary Flames, starting in no more than 40 games a season and no less than 34, and had his best year in 2014-2015 with a .912 save percentage and 2.60 goals-against average.

More on this soon.
