Breaking: Golden Knights demote experienced player

The Vegas Golden Knights sent forward Vadim Shipachyov to the Chicago Wolves (AHL), the team announced on Monday. This move is related to the activation of forward Jonathan Marchessault from the injured reverve. Marchessault is expected to play tonight as the team face the Chicago Blackhawks.

Schipachyov, 30, was signed as a free agent by the Golden Knights in last May. The Russian forward spent his entire career in the KHL, registering 412 points in 445 games. In three games with Vegas this season, he scored one goal. 

The Golden Knights will be looking to earn their seventh win in eight games, as they are currently on a three game winning streak.
