Breaking: Gonchar returns to the Pens' ice!

The Pittsburgh Penguins' assistant coach Mark Recchi is stepping off the bench for the weekend in anticipation of his Hockey Hall of Fame induction in Toronto.

In his place, another Pens' veteran will step behind the bench.

Sergei Gonchar usually oversees things from the press box, but now the team will benefit from his experience at ice level tonight against the Washington Capitals and against the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.

Recchi, for his part, posted 1533 points in 1652 regular seasons throughout his NHL career, winning the Stanley Cup with the Penguins, Hurricanes, and Bruins.
