BREAKING: Gone to the rivals

Seth Griffith was placed on waivers yesterday with the hopes that he’ll go back to the AHL’s Providence Bruins.

However, the Toronto Maple Leafs claimed him off of waivers today. Griffith, a right-handed shooter, was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the fifth round, 131^st overall in 2012. At 5-foot-9 and 161 pounds, he will provide the Leafs with speed that they’ll need from a center.
