Breaking: Habs cut two first rounders from camp!

The Montreal Canadiens released a total of four players on Saturday, after their first preseason victory Friday night, over the Florida Panthers. The Habs will take on the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre in their preseason finale tonight.

Forward Michael McCarron and defenseman Jakub Jerabek were both assigned to the AHL's Laval Rocket, while forwards Daniel Carr and Peter Holland were put on waivers. If Carr and Holland aren't claimed, they will both report to the Rocket as well.

Both McCarron and Holland are former first round picks.
