Breaking: Habs’ Drouin forced to miss road trip due to embarrassing mistake!

Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin did not travel with his club to the Detroit following a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday, according to many sources who were present at the game.

Drouin did however participate fully in the victory, scoring on a penalty shot during the contest, and even spoke to media in the dressing room.

The reports now indicate that Drouin might have forgotten his passport, and missed the flight for that reason!

In the meantime, Montreal recalled forward Daniel Carr from its AHL affiliate in Laval. There is no new update regarding Drouin’s status.

In 25 games with the Habs, Drouin has five goals and 17 points. Carr has amassed 12 goals and 19 points through 20 games with the Rockets in the American Hockey League.

Later this morning, the Habs made an announcement that Drouin suffered a lower-body injury, would be evaluated on a day-to-day basis, and it was the reason he was missing from the trip.

However, many people present at the game are unsure of how and when Drouin suffered the injury.
