Breaking: Habs forward out with concussion!

Talk about adding insult to injury...

The Montreal Canadiens have added some more pain to the lives of Habs fans this morning.

...Or joy, depending on who you ask. Ales Hemsky, signed this summer on a $1 million/1 year deal after Alex Radulov fled to the Dallas Stars, was expected to be one of the best low-risk signings of the offseason.

The early returns have been nothing short of disappointing. The injury-prone winger has been invisible on the ice, except for when he takes one of his many lazy slashing calls.

Forwards Nikita Scherbak and Michael McCarron were called up Sunday evening from the Laval Rocket, and one of them, or both, will slot into the lineup Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers.

They can't possibly be worse than Hemsky, at this point.
