Breaking: Habs make two very disappointing line up announcements.
Keystone Press

The Montreal Canadiens have made two very disappointing announcements regarding their line up this evening.

First the biggest disappointment will be the fact that veteran defenseman Shea Weber will miss a game against his former team, the Nashville Predators, after head coach Claude Julien announced that the injury he is currently dealing with will force him to miss a second consecutive game.

Perhaps even more disappointing for fans of the Canadiens however is the fact that Julien has revealed that veteran goaltender Antti Niemi will get the start this evening, a move that seems to be telegraphing a loss for the Habs given how he has played so far this season.

In his first two games of the season, while he was with the Florida Panthers, Niemi record a 5.11 goals against average and an abysmal save percentage of .872. Those numbers somehow found a way to get even worse in his one and only performance with the Canadiens this season when he recorded a goals against average of 5.45 and a save percentage of .750.

It's disappointing news for Habs fans, and news that is likely to signal a disappointing night for the Canadiens.
