Breaking: Habs' Price injured on freak save in the third?!

The entire city of Montreal is holding its breath. 

Earlier in tonight's contest, the Canadiens lost forward Paul Byron who exited the game earlier in the first period after deciding to drop the gloves with MacKenzie Weegar of the Montreal Canadiens. 

Weegar landed a huge uppercut to his jaw and Byron had no clue where he was. As the Florida player checked up on him, one of the linesmen called the trainer over and escorted Byron to the bench. The poor guy could barely stand up and needed the help of three team members to make it to the dressing room… 

Byron did not return to the game, and while the thought of having to do without his services for a while is unfortunate, the idea of heading into the postseason season without star goalie Carey Price is simply alarming. 

The Panthers scored a power-play goal during the third period thanks to Frank Vatrano and continued to attack the Canadiens' net after. It appeared that Price's blocker hand was knocked hard by a stick when he tried to save a goal. Right away, Price shook off his hand and seemed to be nursing it several minutes after the collision. 

During the following commercial break, Price headed back to the bench. He has decided to stay in the game and has since made some impressive saves, which should get fans calm, however, we wouldn't want to hear bad news following the game if something bad has indeed happened on his right hand.
