Breaking: Habs recall a goaltender
Keystone Press

The Montreal Canadiens recalled goaltender Charlie Lindgren from the Laval Rocket (AHL), the team announced on Friday. This move is a preventive measure, as number one goaltender Carey Price is dealing with a lower-body injury.

Lindgren, 23, has started nine games, and he owns a record of 3-3-2, with a 3.53 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage.

Backup goaltender Al Montoya will play against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night.

Montreal has only four wins this season, and Price has been struggling. In eleven starts, he has a record of 3-7-1 with a 3.77 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage.
