Breaking: Hartley has reportedly pulled three of his top players out of the line up.

It sounds like three members of the Calgary Flames, high profile members at that, could be sitting out the game tonight according to two hockey insiders.

Both Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos and TSN's Bob McKenzie are reporting that Lance Bouma, Sean Monahan, and Johnny Gaudreau are unlikely to be in the Flames line up tonight for their match up against fellow Canadian team the Toronto Maple Leafs.

At first we thought this might be part of some outlandish trade, although some of the names involved didn't make a lot of sense, but now it sounds like the players may have done something to upset their head coach, Bob Hartley and he may be sending a message to his locker room.

There has been a lot of speculation as to why Hartley has singled out these three players, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
