In Thursday night's annihilation of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks forward Ryan Hartman posted a remarkable 5 points - 1 goal and 4 assists.

His performance was historical for this Original 6 franchise.

"We played almost — I don't want to say a perfect game — but we played really good hockey," winger Ryan Hartman said to Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune. Sure. You let in one goal, we suppose that makes this game 'not perfect'.

Hartman, drafted 30th overall in 2013, finally broke out in the NHL last season, playing 76 games and putting up a healthy 19 goals and 12 assists. He certainly won't sustain a 5 point pace per game (duh), but with Patrick Kane on his line, we can easily anticipate a much more productive sophomore season for the young gun.
