Breaking: Head coach confirms a major injury to Evander Kane.

The Buffalo Sabres have confirmed that one of their top forwards has suffered a devastating injury.

Mired in controversy over an alleged attack on multiple women, Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane was the subject of several trade rumors, but following his awkward crash into the boards on Thursday night those rumors are dead.

Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma has informed the media the media that Kane has suffered multiple broken ribs and according to ESPN insider Pierre LeBrun it will result in an absence of several weeks.

"We're looking at weeks," said Bylsma as per Lebrun.

It seems unlikely that there will be much sympathy for Kane given the general sentiment around the NHL when it comes to him, but we wish him a swift recovery.
