After having been sidelined for close to a week with a mysterious “lower-body” injury that was never revealed, Justin Abdelkader is set to return to action tonight as the Detroit Red Wings (5-2-0) face off against the St. Louis Blues (4-2-1) at the Scottrade Center in Missouri.

As reported (and suspected) earlier, Abdelkader will return to the lineup and will replace a fourth-liner, as he was doing during practices over the course of the last week or so.

Head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed that veteran Drew Miller, who posted two surprising goals in seven games, will be a healthy scratch against the Blues as Abdelkader completes the fourth line of Luke Glendening and Steve Ott, the latter of whom faces his old team for the first time during the regular season.
