There are rumors that a member of the hockey Hall-of-Fame has passed away.

Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy is reporting that he has received word that former Bruins player, coach, and general manager Milt Schmidt at the age of 98. Schmidt spent his entire NHL career as a member of the Bruins organizations playing in 776 games before also coaching an additional 686 games.

He was a two-time Stanley Cup Winner capturing hockey's holy grail during the 1938-1939 seasons as well as the 1940-1941 season and would could on to be inducted into the Hockey Hall-of-Fame in 1961.

We take comfort in the fact that he lived a long and full life, and we offer our condolences to his loved ones in this difficult time.
