Breaking: Horvat and Canucks agree on contract extension
Keystone Press

The Vancouver Canucks and centre Bo Horvat have come to an agreement.

The deal is to be for six years and around $5.5M per season as reported by Sportsnet, for a total deal of $33 millions. Horvat is coming off his entry-level contract, and had discussed every possibility from two-year bridge deals to a eight-year extension.

The 22-year-old Horvat is is coming off a career year in which he tallied 20 goals and 52 points in 81 games to lead the team in scoring. He’s clearly the team’s best young player and fans will be thrilled to have him in the fold for a long time.
