Breaking: Huge injury for Canada at World Championship, defenseman done for the tournament.

The Canadian contingent at the IIHF World Championship just got a little thinner.

According to a breaking news report from Team Canada's official social media accounts, Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie has suffered some form of significant injury.

Team Canada has only revealed that the injury is to Barrie's lower body, but they have revealed that it is serious enough that he will not be participating in the World Championship as a result. 

It has to be an incredibly frustrating injury for Barrie who was already coming off a difficult season as a member of the Avs.
