It appears that National Hockey League general managers smell blood in the water.

According to a report from TSN insider Darren Dreger, general managers have begun circling around the seemingly lifeless corpse of the Vancouver Canucks, and they are doing so in the hopes of acquiring one of two former first round draft picks.

The first is this year's 5th overall pick in this year's draft, 18 year old defenseman Olli Juolevi currently of the London Knights and the second is 23rd overal pick in the 2015 NHL draft, forward Brock Boeser. It's worth noting that these are two of the best prospects currently in Vancouver's system.

Canucks general manager Jim Benning has been extremely stubborn about refusing to move towards a rebuild, and obviously if multiple GMs are circling the Canucks it means they believe there is a chance they can grab one of these young talents. Needless to say this would almost certainly be an extremely unpopular decision in Vancouver, and this news alone has to have fans very concerned.

No word yet on what teams are trying to make these moves.
