Breaking: Huge update on potential Matt Duchene trade.

A quick update on the Matt Duchene situation.

Bleacher Report's Adrian Dater is claiming that he has picked up chatter regarding a potential trade between the Colorado Avalanche and the Ottawa Senators, and the center piece of that deal would be Duchene.

Furthermore Dater is also reporting that right now the sticking point is Ottawa Senators 2015 first round draft pick Colin White who is currently playing for Boston College in the NCAA. White has 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points in 29 games this year and is by all accounts living up to his draft pedigree.

Dater is extremely well connected in Colorado and he would not make these statements lightly, it will be very interesting to see if Ottawa Senators' general manager Pierre Dorion can pull off a major move before the deadline.
