Breaking: Hyman reveals catastrophic injury, will undergo surgery

The heart and soul winger will miss significant time next season.

Earlier today the Toronto Maple Leafs confirmed that forward Zach Hyman will undergo surgery next week to repair a torn ligament in his knee. Ouch. The rest and recovery period is expected to last a minimum of six months. Double ouch.

Doing that math on that… the earliest Hyman is expected back in the lineup is November, 2019. Again, assuming that everything goes smoothly and that Hyman suffers no setbacks.
