Earlier, it was reported that Drew Miller would sit out tonight’s matchup to make room for Justin Abdelakder, who had been sidelined for approximately a week due to a mysterious “lower-body” injury.
As the Detroit Red Wings are set to face off against the St. Louis Blues tonight at the Scottrade Center in Missouri, a last-minute change has been made.
Thomas Vanek is reportedly suffering from a “mid-lower-body” injury, and has been ruled out from tonight’s game.
Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press believes that this injury is related to a hip flexor/groin injury, although we do not know the severity of what ails Vanek.
For now, he is simply listed as “day-to-day”, which we will find out more about tomorrow.
