Breaking: Jaromir Jagr has broken one of Gordie Howe's NHL records.

There's no doubt that Jaromir Jagr will go down as one of the greatest to have ever played the game of hockey, and on Friday night he continued to add to his legacy.

With an pair of assists thus far on the night, Jagr first tied and then surpassed a National Hockey League record previously held by none other than the late, great, Gordie Howe. Those two assists gave him 269 points after hitting the age of 40, now the most ever by an NHL player, and a record that may never broken by the time Jagr hangs up his skates.

It's a truly remarkable accomplishment that once again cements Jagr as a true living legend, although he may have to be careful in the afterlife as Mr. Hockey may be waiting for him with an elbow at the ready.
