The St. Louis Blues got things started on Thursday night and it seems like another Western Conference team was to follow suit with the second trade of the evening. The Winnipeg Jets have acquired defenceman Jimmy Oligny from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for future considerations.

The Jets made the move and announced right away that they have assigned Oligny to the AHL's Manitoba Moose.

In 16 games so far this season with the AHL's Chicago Wolves, the 25-year-old blue liner has collected one assist. He has yet to appear in an NHL regular season game.

Winnipeg will be back in action Sunday evening against the Dallas Stars, while the Golden Knights will be facing the Anaheim Ducks tomorrow night. The Ducks completed the trade with the Blues earlier this evening.
