Breaking: Jets may have found the answer to their goaltending problems.

The Winnipeg Jets may have found the solution to their goaltending problems.

According to a report from Larry Brooks of the New York Post, the Jets are among the teams currently attempting to secure a trade for backup goaltender Antti Raanta, however they will have some competition for that trade it seems.

From Brooks:

The Flames and the Jets are believed to be among the clubs who have contacted the Rangers regarding a pre-expansion draft trade for Raanta, but management has not yet committed to dealing him or has not yet received an offer pushing them to that conclusion.

The Calgary Flames are also desperate for help in goal, and this will likely cause some stiff competition between both teams for the services of Raanta, and there may be other teams who wish to throw their hat in the ring as well.

As for the Rangers, they know that they will likely lose Raanta for nothing to the Golden Knights in the expansion draft, and a trade that would allow them to get something back in return would be of great help even if they don't really want to trade him.
