Breaking: Kadri back against Lightning?
Keystone Press

According to a report from Sportsnet senior writer Chris Johnston, Toronto Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri will return to the team’s lineup tonight as they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Kadri skated with teamates at the Air Canada Centre this morning and declared himself good to go for tonight’s contest against the division leading Bolts. Kadri missed Sunday’s loss to the Vegas Golden Knights with what was described as an “upper body injury” earlier in the week. It’s suspected that Kadri suffered some ill effects from an elbow to the head from the Leafs’ game against the Arizona Coyotes last week.

Regardless, it seems as if the 27-year-old will be good to go for tonight’s matchup. He’ll certainly be a welcomed addition for a team that has struggled as of late. Playing mostly a 2nd and sometimes 3rd line center position, Kadri has put up an impressive 13 goals and 23 points in 38 games so far this season. Is 30+ goals and 60+ points a possibility for the Leafs pivot in 2017-18?
