Breaking: Karlsson will play, but game-time decision on Sens' defense

The Ottawa Senators announced that captain Erik Karlsson will make his 2017-18 season debut tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.

Karlsson underwent surgery late in the offseason to repair tendons in his ankle that were injured during the Sens’ run to the Eastern Conference Final. But finally, Karlsson is back.

However, Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch reports that there will be a game-time decision on defense for the Senators. The club is not sure if they will play with six or seven defenders against the Canucks.
