BREAKING: Key player could be back in the lineup tonight!
Keystone Press

As the Boston Bruins aim to even up their opening round playoff series against the Ottawa Senators tonight at TD Garden in Boston, it looks as though they’ll finally get some help on their blue line.

Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed to the media this morning that defenseman Colin Miller will return to the lineup and play alongside John-Michael Liles. The 24 year-old native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario has been sidelined since game 1 of the series, but looks to be back at full health. In 61 games this season, Miller has produced 13 points and 55 penalty minutes for the Bruins.

Miller will be a welcome addition to a banged up Bruins backend that features Torey Krug, Brandon Carlo and Adam McQuad all on the shelf with injuries. There’s no timeline for the return of the above mentioned players, but in the meantime Miller should help fill the void on the blue line.
