Breaking: Key player officially back in action!

The Ottawa Senators will have forward Zack Smith in their lineup tonight to face the New Jersey Devils, the team announced after warmup. Smith was dealing with a upper-body injury for a week.

Smith, 29, had five assists in his last five games prior to is injury. He was drafted 79th overall by the Senators in 2008. In 481 games played in the NHL, he registered 151 points, and added nine points in 45 playoff games. This season, he had five points in seven games played.

The team also announced that forward Jack Rodewald will make his NHL debut tonight. The 23-yeard-old was signed to an NHL entry-level contract earlier this week. He had four points in five games with the Belleville Senators (AHL).
