The Vancouver Canucks announced some good news today in the hours leading up to the team's matchup against the San Jose Sharks.
Loui Eriksson was expected to be out for 4 to 6 weeks after spraining his knee, and will make his return a little early.
Eriksson has only played 4 games for the Canucks this season, putting up a single assist. He had a career-low season last year, putting up only 24 points. It was his lowest total since his rookie season in 2006-07.
The hope is that he can find his scoring touch again - he is only 2 years removed from a 30 goal year.
Jake Virtanen and Brendan Gaunce will sit tonight.
