When it rains, it pours in Los Angeles... When it rains, it pours in Los Angeles...

We don't think the Kings can take another blow, however, it seems like they won't get another choice.

On Tuesday night, the Kings faced the Buffalo Sabres and many insiders noted during the game that star defenseman Drew Doughty was not on the bench at some point in the game.

The team first confirmed that Doughty left the contest with an upper-body injury and was doubtful to return, however, it did not take long for them to revealed that their star blue liner was out for the remainder of the game.

No one can really explain what happened to Doughty. Team insider Dennis Bernstein for The Fourth Period and TSN mentioned that Doughty did take a Ramsus Dahlin shot on upper part of right arm in first period. While he shook it off and returned to play, it may be related to his absence now for the remainder of the game.

To make things worse, when the Kings confirmed that Doughty would not return to the contest, they also mentioned that teammate Dion Phaneuf was not on the bench either for the end of the second period.

If Phaneuf does not return for the third period, the Kings will have to handle the Sabres with just four defensemen...

He appeared to get injured during a collision with Evan Rodrigues. He is doubtful to return.

We will keep you posted, but man, the Kings are battling the Sabres and bad luck!
