Breaking : Kings signs new goalie to one year contract.
Keystone press agency

The UFA market opening day is always a pretty special moment in the NHL. All fans wish for immense trade that will put their own team ahead of the competition for years to come, but GMs know the true result is building depth for your organization.

This is precisely what the Kings have done today by signing backup goalie Darcy Kuemper to a one year deal worth 650,000$.

Kuemper is a 27 years old 6'5'' goalie who's played with the Wild and their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild. He had a .902 save percentage and 3.13 goal against average. He joins Jonathan Quick in the team and might be his backup all year around.

Welcome to L.A. Darcy!
