Arguably the most talented forward on the free agent market from a pure skills perspective is no longer on the market.
According to multiple reports, former New York Islanders forward Kyle Okposo has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Buffalo Sabres. It's a major contract as well, matching both the term and the value the Oilers dolled out for Milan Lucic earlier today.
Sportsnet insider John Shannon is reporting that Okposo has received a massive 7 year term and with it will come a massive average annual value of $6 million. It's another big coup for general manager Tim Murray, bringing one of the top free agents on the board to a market that has for a very long time been viewed in a negative light by players.
