Breaking: Latest trade destinations for Pacioretty revealed!
Keystone Press

A recent report has hinted that Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty should get ready to move, as some experts revealed he could get traded shortly - as in the coming days.

With the trade chatter intensifying, the Journal de Montreal has revealed the latest possible destinations for the Habs captain.

The most logical trade landing spot for Pacioretty remains in Nashville. The Habs captain could bring the offensive boost the Predators are seeking ahead of the trade deadline, and general manager David Poile has never been afraid of making a big splash.

The Preds also have more than $8 millions available on the cap space to take on Pacioretty's annual salary of $4,5 millions.

However, the San Jose Sharks also have money in their pockets, and are also said to be seeking a boost up front. The Californian club also has to build a strong future with veteran Joe Thornton heading closer to retirement.

The Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks could look to pry Pacioretty out of the hands of the Sharks, especially if Habs GM Marc Bergevin sweet talks his way with former teammate and roommate Bob Murray, the Ducks general manager.

The St. Louis Blues are also on the haunt to add help on the wing, but they do not benefit from the available cap space of other suitors. With the absence of Robby Fabbri, Pacioretty looks like a great option and Bergevin could ask an interesting return that could include young players like Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou and Klim Kostin.

Speaking of young talent, Bergevin might be keeping an eye on the contending Winnipeg Jets and might want to inquire about Kyle Connor, Jack Roslovic, Chase De Leo, Nic Petan and Logan Stanley. After all the Jets have money in the bank and might look for a sure path to the Cup finals.

The Flames could dangle Sam Bennett and Jusso Valimaki in front of Bergevin's eye to convince him to ship his captain to Calgary.

So many options - where will he land?
