The Maple Leafs may have just seen their worst case scenario unfold before their eyes.
According to multiple reports Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen, has been injured during preparations for the upcoming World Cup of Hockey. Andersen was reportedly injured when one of his own teammates collided with him sending the goalie sailing into the air.
Andersen was pulled from the game and there has been no report regarding the severity of the injury he suffered during the collision so obviously fans are hoping it will be minor.
The Leafs made a big move to acquire Andersen this summer, losing their number one goalie before the regular season even begins would be a nightmare. You can view a short clip of the video below.
