The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a relatively minor move this morning.

According to a breaking news report from Toronto Maple Leafs insider James Mirtle, the Maple Leafs organization has to agreed to terms on a brand new deal with undrafted forward Tevor Moore. The deal is expected to be a 2 year contract that will pay Moore an average annual value of $775,000 per season over the course of those 2 years. It is a very affordable price for a player who has produced a great deal at the American Hockey League level for the Maple Leafs and one who has shown a decent ability to do the same at the National Hockey League level as well.

This marks a significant raise in pay for Moore as well although he will earn $750,000 this season he gets a nice raise in pay the following season up to $800,000. That being said if his performance at the NHL level continues to see him produce an average of 0.5 points per game it may not be much longer before Moore is looking at significantly more money on his upcoming deals.

Moore is off to another strong start this time around with 19 goals and 7 assists for a total of 26 points with the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies this season and additionally he has 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points over his first 6 career NHL games for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season as well. It's no doubt this level of performance that earned him this reward from Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas.
