The Toronto Maple Leafs have lost one of their young players and it sounds like it might be a little while before he returns.
The Maple Leafs' Mike Babcock addressed the media on Tuesday morning and according to a report from Sportsnet's Chris Johnston the head coach informed him that Martin Marincin will be "out for a bit."
The 24-year old defenseman has appeared in 16 games for the Leafs this season and has accounted for one goal and four assists and a plus minus rating of -1 over that stretch. It's unclear exactly how long he's expected to miss, but Babcock's comments make it sound like he might be out for a significant length of time.
Marincin was the Leafs 2nd round draft choice(46th overall) in 2010.
