A huge decision for the Leafs.

The rebuilding Maple Leafs were faced with a very difficult decision this week, burn a year of William Nylander's entry level contract by allowing him to play 10 games, or send him back down to the American Hockey League and wait for the 2016-2017 campaign.

According to a report from TSN's James Mirtle, Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock has announced that Nylander will be on his roster when the Leafs talk on the Florida Panthers on Thursday night. This was likely a difficult call for the team to make, but you could easily make the argument that Nylander deserves the roster spot, and he will now have an opportunity to continue developing with this young group under Babcock.

Nylander, who has been thrust into a difficult role playing center in the National Hockey League at just 19 years old, has two goals thus far in his first nine games this season as a Maple Leaf.
