Breaking: Leafs make some changes, place veteran Kossila on waivers

This just in, the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed forward Kalle Kossila on waivers.

The 26 year old centre is expected to be assigned to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies if he passes through waivers successfully. Kossila signed a two year deal with the Leafs this past offseason worth $1.4 million total. He played just eight games with the Anaheim Ducks last season, but put up an impressive 14 goals and 35 points in 44 games with the San Diego Gulls of the AHL last season.
