The Toronto Maple Leafs have loaned goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo and forward Trevor Moore to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies.

According to TSN analyst and Leafs insider Kristen Shilton, the Leafs are expected to get forward Zach Hyman back from injury for Thursday’s game against the New Jersey Devils.

Moore was impressive in his first stint of NHL hockey, scoring a goal and three points in six games with the Leafs in Hyman’s absence. As for  Kaskisuo, the 25 year old Finnish goaltender did not see any time with the Leafs during his most recent call up.

Kaskisuo’s demotion could mean that Leafs backup Garret Sparks is ready for action, but the team has yet to confirm his status. It’s expected that starter Frederik Andersen will be out of the team’s lineup for at least a couple more games as he continues to recover from a groin injury.
