Breaking: Leafs place Shore on waivers and make an AHL call up

This just in, the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed forward Nick Shore on waivers.

The 27 year old Shore has played 21 games for the Leafs this season, putting up two goals and three points. While it won’t be confirmed by the team until game time, it appears as though Mitch Marner may be ready to return to the lineup.

Interestingly enough, the Leafs have also called up defenseman Martin Marincin from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies today.
