Breaking: Leafs place veteran forward on waivers!

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced an interesting roster move today at noon.

Eric Fehr started the season competing for the 4th line center role with fellow veteran Dominic Moore and rookie Miro Aaltonen. The latter player was eventually sent to the AHL.

Fehr and Moore rotated just about every game in the bottom line role - never sure of when it would end.

“It’s not ideal for either of us, but we’ve both taken advantage of our opportunities in the lineup," Fehr said to Sportsnet a little over a week ago. "We’re pushing each other. We’re pushing to get ourselves in the lineup.” 

He continued to say that “[He's] not sure what [Babcock’s] thought process is. We haven’t discussed it at all. You show up. If your name’s on the board, you’re in.”

Well it appears the experiment is over. Dominic Moore has won the spot.
