Breaking: Leafs sign Kerfoot to new long-term deal
Zuma Press

This just in, the Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly signed recently acquired forward Alex Kerfoot to a four year, $14 million deal with an annual average cap hit of $3.5 million. This report courtesy of TSN’s Darren Dreger, check it out:

Kerfoot, of course, was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche earlier this week in a huge trade that also so Nazem Kadri and Tyson Barrie change locales. The 24 year old Kerfoot had 15 goals and 42 points in 78 games with the Avs in 2018-19. He was playing on the final season of a two year, entry-level contract worth just $925,000 per season.

UPDATE: Dreger is also reporting that the Leafs have signed defenseman Cody Ceci to a one year, $4.5 million deal as well.
