Breaking: Leafs top forward more seriously injured that initially reported.

The Toronto Maple Leafs despite their current position in the National Hockey League rankings have had a positive vibe around them the last few weeks, but that positive auro has just had a whole bunch of negativity added to it.

In an unexpected announcement, it appears that the injury to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov, arguably the teams top forward this season, is far more serious than was originally believed, and now he will miss time as a result. According to TSN's Mark Masters, Leafs head coach Mike Babcock announced on Monday that additional testing revealed the injury to Komarov was worse than expected, and that he would not play tonight.

Furthermore TSN's James Mirtle has responded that by the sounds of things Komarov "could be out for a while," and echoed Masters' report that the Leafs had received some discouraging test results regarding the Komarov injury.
