As the days go by, we lose more and more legendary figures of the sport. Whether they are players, players or managers, these larger than life characters leave an indelible mark in the great book of History.
Today, we lose yet another of these figure with the unfortunate passing of Sports Illustrated writer Frank Deford at age 78.
This man was one of the most important figure of sports writing through the late part of the 20th century and inspired a lot of the modern who's who.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
