The Minnesota Wild just got Marco Scandella back into their lineup after an injury that kept him out of the action for almost a month. Well now they have to deal with another injury on the blueline. Defenseman Christian Folin is expected to miss 3 to 4 weeks with a sprained Medial Collateral Ligament in his left knee.
Folin's injury happened friday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, a game easily won by the Wild by a score a 6-2. The swedish player was a pleasant surprise for the Wild, being a reliable defenseman who played more than 20 minutes in 3 games this season.
Folin only had two assists in 18 games so far but is posting a +8 plus/minus ratio.
The Minnesota Wild are heading into a 5 games road-trip starting saturday against the Saint-Louis Blues.
