Breaking: Long-time NHL head coach has suffered a stroke.

A long-time National Hockey League head coach has just had a very serious incident.

A report form Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times has revealed that Ron Wilson has suffered a stroke, Elliott claims that several of his friends have confirmed the news to her. According to the report Wilson is currently recovering in rehab and it's unclear what his condition is like at this time.

Wilson is one of the most recognizable coaching figures in the modern NHL having held a coaching job with a number of different organizations including the Anaheim Ducks, Washington Capitals, San Jose Sharks and Toronto Maple Leafs. He's also had a presence on the international stage when he represented the United States in 1998 and 2010 as the coach of their men's hockey team.

Our thoughts are with Ron and his family at this time, and we wish him both a full and speedy recovery.
