Breaking: Major update in case of 'Revenge Porn' against NHL prospect.

One young National Hockey League prospect recently found himself in serious trouble after accusations that he had recently distributed, without permission, a picture of a young woman involved in a sexual act came to the surface.

Garrett Ross, a Chicago Blackhawks prospect, was facing very real and very significant jail time as Illinois had recently passed strict laws against thos kind of act, but it appears he may have dodged a major bullet, and perhaps saved his hockey career in the process.

Ross appears to have been saved by a technicality, according to a report from Nick Burzych, Ross was in Michigan at the time of the criminal offense, that means while he may still be charged under Michigan law, he will face harsh less severe consequences, and is now guaranteed to avoid any time in prison.

Obviously this is still damaging to Ross' reputation, and could still have an impact on his NHL career, but nonetheless the young man must be breathing a sigh of relief after avoiding possible jail time.
