Vezina trophy contender out of the play due to injury
In a brief tweet, Chris Johnston (senior Sportsnet writer) mentioned that Henrik Lundqvist will be sidelined two to three weeks with a lower-body injury.
Henrik Lundqvist already played 51 games this year. He won 30 and lost 17. He maintained a 2.65 GAA.
This news comes at a bad time as left winger Rick Nash is dealing with an day-to-day upper bodyinjury. The 32-year-old forward played 55 games with the blue shirt this year. He scored 18 goals and registered 15 assists for a total of 33 points.
Johnston did not add any particular update on Nash's situation. The New York Rangers are playing against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.
