He went down after taking a hard shot from Malkin

Many Predators fan held their breath last night when they saw P.K. Subban going down after taking Malkin shot.

With roughly just 7 minutes left to play in the period, star defenseman P.K. Subban sacrificed his body to block a big time shot from Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Evgeni Malkin and he paid a heavy price. Subban instantly began writhing around in pain on the ice, and although he was able to make it back to his feet, he immediately left the game and headed to the Predators locker room.

It’s hard to say how hurt he was on the play, but he was pumping up his teammates as he left the ice so it doesn’t seem like the kind of injury that will keep him out for an extended period of time.

Subban said his foot feels better today after taking that Malkin shot last night. However, of course, he will say that everything is fine and probably wouldn’t say otherwise because it’s the Stanley Cup Final and players don’t want to reveal their injury.
