If any player's season could qualify for the ''breakout'' description, the 2016-2017 campaign of David Pastrnak would for sure. The 21 years old played his first complete season in Boston and scored an amazing 70 points in 75 games plus 4 points in 6 playoff games. Needless to say, him and Marchand were the spark that lit the whole team on fire.

Pasta man is now negotiating his contract with the management and many are scared about what will come out of it. Some rumors talked about tough talks between the two parties, but apparently Don Sweeney had some good news for the fans today.

Two major hints are included in this quote. First, the negotiation are moving forward at the right pace and Sweeney is confident in his ability to keep Pastrnak in Boston. The second part is even better, where he states it will be a long term deal.

Hopefully, everything will turn out okay and we will have the Pasta Man on the ice in the black and yellow for a long time!
